Eclíptica
Eclíptica, 2019
The process of searching for new tools for musical creation that began in 2015, just after the publication of Daturas (an LP made with a processed electric guitar) resulted in Eclíptica. This double album encapsulates the refinement of a sound generation technique developed over the years: analog synthesis with closed-loop feedback signals generated and processed in real time. On the other hand, Sosa´s interest in nurturing his work from a meta-musical dimension linked to certain ritual and ceremonial practices becomes evident. In this particular case, those that exalt the strength, importance and mysticism of the celestial order. Hence the name of the album.
The album’s first volume focuses on the moon and develops around the mysticism of the lunar cycles and necromancy. The second volume focuses on the sun and is inspired by various ritual manifestations that are performed according to its position in the celestial vault.
This album was made with the support of Substrata and Ex Teresa Arte Actual.
